Badminton Club – Menston St Mary’s Deanery
Social badminton in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Additionally social events, outside visits and other activities. Open to all aged 16 to 70+ of all abilities.
Tuesdays winter and spring school terms 20.00 to 22.00.
Subscription: £55 for 33 nights play, visitors £5 per night.
Badminton Club – Wednesday Morning
We meet at Kirklands Main Hall each Wednesday morning (excluding August) from 10.00 – 12 noon.
Badminton Club – Friday Morning
We have about 10 members who play mixed doubles badminton for fun and exercise. We do not enter any competitions. We meet at Kirklands Main Hall each Friday morning from 10.00 – 11.30.
Bridge Club – Kirklands
The club was formed in 1974 for those wishing to play rubber bridge in Menston. Kirklands Bridge Club is a popular friendly club catering for all abilities. The club is happy to welcome new members, anybody wishing to join us please contact any of the above Committee members. The club meets on alternate Tuesday afternoons from 1.30pm – 4pm at the Kirklands Community Centre.
Bridge Club – Menston
We are a friendly duplicate bridge club for all abilities. We meet on alternate Tuesdays from 6.45pm – 9.45pm at Kirklands Community Centre. We do have a few vacancies for new members. Anyone interested please get in touch.
Bridge Club – Wharfe Valley
The club includes bridge players from improvers upwards and meets at Kirklands on Thursday afternoons from 1.15pm to 4pm.
Menston Cricket Club
Provides an opportunity for all ages to play and enjoy the game. Outdoor playing season from mid April to mid September.
Supporters and new members always welcome.
Menston Tennis Courts
There are 2 tennis courts at the recreation ground that are available for everyone to use.
Menston Crown Green Bowling Club
The club provides social bowling during the afternoons at the Green behind Kirklands Community Centre from April to October, and has 7 teams entered into the Airedale and Wharfedale Crown Green Bowling Leagues.
Menston Walks
In 1997 the Menston Millennium Steering Group was formed through the initiative of the Menston Community Association. Their task was to create a permanent memorial and a way of celebrating the millennium in Menston. The result was a book titled Menston Millennium Walks.
