High Royds Memorial Chapel

The Memorial Garden and the surrounding woodland have with the help of a grant
from the Heritage Lottery Fund been extensively worked on and local Volunteers
have been busy replanting, weeding and helping to keep them in tip-top condition.
The Chapel has also been re-decorated inside and out and the post Covid Lottery
grant has enabled us to erect new signs inside and out. For those who are
interested new wall display of 24 photographs giving a fascinating insight of what
the hospital used to be like now supplements the histories of some of the patients
who spent so much time there.

Friends of the Garden will there on Saturday and Sunday ( 17-18 September)
from 12-4pm and the weekend will be conclude with a Special Service conducted
by our Chaplain,The Revd. Andrew Howorth at 4pm on the Sunday.
