High Royds Memorial Garden

More than 50 Friends of High Royds Memorial Garden attended the 1st AGM on Tuesday April 27th.  Accommodation for the meeting was a generous gift from the Menston Methodist Church Hall.

Whilst the majority of those attending were local people, one couple whose relative had been buried in High Royds cemetry many years ago had travelled from Cumbria for the meeting. The cemetry grounds are now looking cared for and the restoration of the chapel is well underway, thanks to the support of volunteer tradesmen and a shareholder scheme to which many local people have subscribed.

John Steel is Secretary to 'The Friends' and would be pleased to supply further information to anyone who may ask (865446).
